Put the hub into modem mode and wait for the base light to turn magenta. Once it’s in modem mode, the VM hub must then be powered off. Then, set up your own router with the WAN port set to be in DHCP mode. Make sure it’s fully initialised (leave 5 min) and then put in the WAN cable to the VM hub. You can then use DHCP or assign static addresses to the Time Capsule and the Telo. If you use static IPs make sure they are compatible with the Uverse network. I believe they are usually 192.168.1.0. Even better, If you can put the Uverse modem in bridge mode then connect it like so. Modem > Telo > Time Capsule(in bridged mode) > network. I am a new customer to Fios with the install next week. I currently have use an Apple Time Capsule as my WiFi router and wireless backup. I have searched on various forums about using the Apple Time Capsule with the Fios Quantum Gateway Router and have not been able to get a solid answer. Put your time capsule in bridge mode and turn networking off. Then connect it via ethernet to the Velop. That way it just acts as a server for your backups. You won't want the time capsule to do any of the networking. However, the original AirPort Express 802.11g doesn't support this feature and will disable the Ethernet port. Only compatible USB printers or audio devices are supported.
A year or so ago I managed to setup my teksavvy smartrg 505n in bridge mode to run my dd-wrt router. At the time I had to login my router to get the wan IP, then I would connect laptop with cable to modem and use the WAN IP to access the modem. I wrote this down and had paper by modem.

I set the Time Capsule to bridge mode and connect it to one of the spare Ethernet ports in back of the linksys router. Assign the Time Capsule I guess an IP. Now my Macbook Pro will connect to the time machine via the Wireless linksys device. It will not use Time Capsule for its wireless part just so my Macbook Pro can use Time Machine
