xcopy access denied unable to create directory « How-To I am trying to run a batch file using xcopy from a Windows 7 Ultimate to a Windows 7 Premium computer as follows: cd c:\ xcopy c:\"Quicken Backup" \\Diane\c\"Quicken Backup" /E /Y cd c:\ xcopy c:\QuickenBackup \\Diane\c\QuickenBackup /E /Y I get "Access denied Unable to create directory" backup - XCOPY access denied error on My Documents folder So I try something else to try and find the source of the access denied problem. I ran an xcopy command to copy the My Documents folder to a different location on the same machine and I still got the access denied error! So xcopy seems to be denied access when it tries to copy the My Documents folder. Any suggestions on how I can get this working? [SOLVED] Copy shortcut to Public desktop help - Windows Jun 28, 2013
